Google published a blogpost about RANGE_SESSIONIZE and GAP_FILL Table Functions aka Table-Valued Function (TVF) here: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/data-analytics/bigquery-sql-gets-time-windowing-and-gap-filling
GAP_FILL looks interesting. I will be trying that over the weekend.
